To make your own Windows XP Home OEM CD. Get your copy of the Windows XP Acer OEM Installation Source (This will fail if you do not use the Acer OEM version ) and use either one of the two cd keys Acer provides with it.
Create an unattended Windows XP CD :
http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/
And get OEMBIOS files from your current Windows Installation:
http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/29/
Windows XP CD Keys :
You have two Windows XP CD Keys. One is used in the recovery cd, which is used in most Acer laptops. I think it is a Volume License OEM key that will only work with Acer installations.
The second, you have another key at the bottom of your laptop which is on the COA sticker. To get the Acer Recovery CD key you need to use Magical Jellybean Keyfinder and that will give you the key used in the recovery cd.
