Removing the LCD Module from the Main Unit This example is with an Acer aspire 5100, you have to remove the middle cover from the edge of the middle cover and carefully detach the middle cover, next diconnect the LCD cable and any other cable that you can see, release any screws holding the LCD module on the bottom side of the main unit, release any other screws securing the LCD hinges on the main unit, then detach the LCD module from the main unit.
